1:1 BUSINESS STRATEGY

The Business Blueprint

For the ambitious woman who’s ready to turn her experience / expertise into a profitable business doing aligned, meaningful work she loves

You're done performing someone else’s version of success.

You’ve had this feeling for a while now. You know you're meant for something  more. Something more meaningful. Something more aligned with the life you're creating.

You know that something is a business of your own, but:

✓ You’re afraid to start.

You have so many ideas circling around and you have no idea what the right next step is.

✓ Your imposter syndrome is screaming at you — “People won’t pay me for that.”

You get stuck in self doubt, wondering if you can even be the kind of person who starts a business, or if you even should.

You don’t have all the time in the world to devote to a business. You’re still working, raising babies, and/or living a full life.

You don’t have clarity on what exactly you event want this business to look like

✓ You think you just need to get the [degree, certification, experience] first.

HERE’S THE THING:

You want to build a business that helps other people solve a problem you once had.

Your experience already qualifies you.

The how, we’ll figure out together.

I HEAR YOU

I know how strange this in-between season can feel.

You know you want something different.

Maybe you're ready to leave a career that no longer fits.
Maybe motherhood has changed what you want from work.
Maybe you've spent years building a life that looked good on paper—but doesn't feel like yours anymore.

You know you want meaningful work.

You want more freedom.
You want to make good money.
You want to work with people you actually care about.

And somewhere in the back of your mind, there's a question you can't quite answer:

What would I actually do instead?

You have ideas.

Maybe even too many.

But you don't know which one to pursue, whether anyone would pay you for it, or how to turn what you already know into a business of your own.

And underneath all of that is the fear that maybe you're asking too much.

What if I'm not qualified enough?
What if nobody wants what I have to offer?
What if I make the wrong choice?
What if I can't actually make this work?

Here's what I want you to know.

You don't need to figure this out by yourself.

You need someone who can look at what you've done, what you know, what you want, and what you're capable of—and help you see the possibilities you can't quite see on your own.

Someone who can help you separate a good idea from a distraction.

Challenge the stories that are making you play small.

Ask the questions you haven't thought to ask.

And help you turn "I think I could..." into "Here's what I'm going to try."

That's what we'll do together.

Not by handing you a business-in-a-box.

Not by telling you what your next chapter should look like.

But by helping you figure out what you're building—and then actually begin.

STOP THE SPIRAL

MEET YOUR BUSINESS STRATEGIST

Hi, I’m Jessica!

I’ve had to start over, too.

In January 2020, I lost my dad in a tragic car accident.

Six months later, the global pandemic forced me to shutter the travel business I'd been building for seven years.

In my deepest grief, I had to get a job — my first in nearly a decade. I was heartbroken, but I was lucky.

I got a job helping authors publish and promote their books. I had complete autonomy and was in charge of my own schedule…but still, I hated trading my time for money. And I struggled knowing my valuable skills were growing someone' else’s business instead of my own.

I desperately wanted to start another business. I had an inkling of what that business might be. I thought it would be fun to work with writers further upstream — in the writing and editing stages — but every time that idea surfaced, I shoved it back down and told myself it was silly. Writers don't have money to pay me!

When I got tired of hearing my own excuses (ie fear, scarcity mentality, imposter syndrome), I hired a coach.

And when I finally started my memoir coaching business, I had fairly quick success, proving myself wrong almost instantly.

For a few years, I truly felt like I'd created my dream job. I felt like helping people write and publish books was what I was meant to do!

Then my world shifted again.

I became a mother.

Suddenly, the old me was gone. Soon, it became clear she wasn't coming back. But there was new desire born right alongside my daughter — a desire to help other women build businesses and make money doing what they love.

So I pivoted again.

And that's something I understand intimately:

Sometimes the business that once felt perfect stops fitting. Sometimes the life you want changes. Sometimes you change.

That doesn't mean you failed.

It means you're ready for the next chapter.

If you're standing in that in-between place—leaving a career, entering motherhood, recovering from a major life change, or simply realizing that the business you've built no longer feels like yours—I want you to know something:

You don't have to know exactly what comes next.

You don't need another credential before you begin.

You don't need to have the perfect business idea.

You don't need to become someone else to make this work.

You need space to listen to what you want now, the courage to take yourself seriously, and someone who knows how to help you turn that knowing into something real.

That's the work I want to do with you.

Let's write your next chapter.

THE DETAILS

How It Works

You don't need to know exactly what you're building before we begin.

That's the point.

This is a private, ongoing partnership designed for the woman who's ready to create something of her own—but is still figuring out what that looks like.

We’ll meet twice a month, with ongoing support between sessions, and use our time together to work through whatever is most important right now.

01 — We start where you are

Maybe you have a business idea you've been turning over for months.

Maybe you know the problem you want to solve but aren't sure what the business looks like.

Maybe you know exactly what you want—but you're terrified to actually begin.

There's no prerequisite clarity required.

You bring the questions. We start there.

02 — We figure it out together

Our work might include exploring your ideas, getting clear on who you want to help, working through mindset blocks, testing assumptions, making decisions, or figuring out what needs to happen next.

There's no cookie-cutter curriculum because your path isn't going to look like anyone else's.

I'll help you separate what's actually important from the noise, challenge the stories that are keeping you stuck, and turn uncertainty into forward movement.

03 — We take it into the real world

Clarity doesn't come from thinking harder forever.

As your direction takes shape, we'll identify what needs to be tested, explored, created, or shared so you can start learning from real people—not just your own head.

You'll begin turning your experience and expertise into something real, viable, and yours.

04 — You always know what's next

At the end of each session, you'll know what deserves your attention next.

And when something inevitably comes up between sessions, you don't have to wait weeks to work through it.

We'll keep revising your direction as you learn.

No five-year plan required. No perfect first draft. Just the next right move.

Your Next Chapter Starts Here

The Business Blueprint is a private coaching partnership with a 3-month minimum commitment.

We’ll meet twice a month for private coaching, with weekday email and voice note support between sessions.

Investment: $500/month

A Glimpse Into My Coaching Style

***The Business Edit is a new offer, but the skill behind it isn't. For years, I've helped memoirists find the throughline, clarify their message, make difficult decisions, and turn messy first drafts into compelling stories.***

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK WITH ME

“I have clarity on how to move forward with my manuscript. I came into coaching confused, writing in circles with a lot of words and a jumbled storyline. Through our work, and mostly through [Jessica’s] edits, I was able to see the story come to life. I had it all there, but she was able to guide me to its potential. Her heart-centered approach was amplified in the way she delicately held the hard parts in a nonjudgemental and beautifully objective way while I sifted through the pain points. She has given me the gift of believing in myself as a writer, again. There is something undeniably healing in that.”

—Kathryn Vigness

Jessica is an amazing coach and knowledgeable editor. She made me feel like my book was important and that I was capable of writing it. She showed up to each meeting ready to move the needle forward and at times it felt like she was more invested in my project than I was! She has the compassion to not overwhelm, the tenacity to go the distance, and the bandwidth to hold your vision with you, and for you when needed.

—Paige Bradley-Pecoul

Jessica has an annoying talent for asking the exact question you don’t want to answer… which is usually the one the book needs. Her coaching pulled me out of proposal purgatory and helped me land a book deal.”

—Leslie B. Scott, Author of THE LIAR’S PLAYBOOK (Spring 2026; Simon & Schuster)

“Jessica got me to dig deeper into my past in ways I never imagined and helped me find the belief in myself that I could do this…If you’re thinking about writing a memoir, you want someone like Jessica by your side. I swear my memoir would not exist without her.”

—Jessica Leibe, Author of (A)SEXUAL LIBERATION (Spring 2027, Third Rail Press)

Before I started working with Jessica, my memoir felt like a distant dream. Through weeks of accountability, guidance, development, direction, and a bit of nonjudgemental hand-holding, she has made this dream more and more of a reality. I highly recommend working with her, regardless of what stage your writing may be in. Unlike workshops or critique groups, I have been a part of before, her coaching delves deep to understand the true meaning of the work, bringing hope into sessions when I thought I was most lost. Also, the tone that she delivers all of her critiques and advice is calm, understanding, and incredibly knowledgeable. I trust her with my deepest secrets and worst writing!”

YOUR NEXT CHAPTER IS WAITING

Ready to Stop Spinning and Build a Business that Supports Your Life?

Step 1: Book a Call

Start by scheduling a brief, 20-minute Breakthrough Session. This isn't a high-pressure sales call.

It's an opportunity for us to talk through your goals, challenges, and vision for your business so we can decide together whether The Business Blueprint is the right next step.

Step 2: Let’s Talk

We’ll hop on a Zoom call and get to know each other a bit. I’ll also ask questions about your goals and ideas. We’ll know fairly quickly if it looks like a good fit.

Step 3: We’ll Begin

Once you're in, I’ll get you onboarded and scheduled. I’ll also send over an intake form for you to complete before our first session. This will get you thinking about your vision, and allow me to meet you where you’re at.

I Know How Scary It Can Be to Invest in Yourself and Your Future

Especially when you're standing at the edge of something new.

Especially when you're standing at the edge of something new.

You may be wondering:

What if this doesn't work?
What if I'm not ready?
What if I choose the wrong thing?
What if people don't pay me?
Who am I to think I can actually do this?

I know those questions because building something of your own requires more than a good idea.

It requires you to believe in your own experience before anyone else can validate it.

And that's the deeper work we’ll do together.

You won't leave with every answer. You won't suddenly become fearless.

You'll learn to trust yourself in the absence of certainty.

You'll start to see your experience as an asset—not something you need another credential to legitimize.

You'll stop waiting to feel completely ready before you take the next step.

And little by little, you'll become the woman who can say:

I don't know exactly how this will work yet. But I believe in what I'm building—and I trust myself to figure it out.

Because the real transformation isn't simply building a business.

It's becoming someone who believes she is capable of building one.
