Ch. 04 — FOR THE FOUNDER

Ch. 05 — ABOUT

Hi, I’m Jessica!

I'm a book coach turned business strategist helping women transform lived experience into books, businesses, and meaningful work.

For years, I helped memoirists uncover the story at the heart of their lives—the one that would resonate with readers, stand out in a crowded market, and become a book they were proud to publish. Along the way, my clients have signed with literary agents, landed Big Five publishing deals, self-published, and brought their stories to life through hybrid publishing.

What surprised me was that the same work kept showing up outside of books.

The entrepreneurs I worked with weren't struggling because they lacked expertise. They were struggling because they couldn't see the thread connecting everything they had lived, learned, and wanted to build. Their marketing felt scattered. Their niche felt too broad. Their offers didn't quite fit together.

That's where I come in.

Today, I help women build businesses around the stories only they can tell. Together, we uncover the throughline beneath your work so your niche becomes clearer, your messaging resonates more deeply, your offers fit together naturally, and your business finally feels like an authentic extension of who you are.

Because the businesses that stand out aren't built by trying to sound like everyone else. They're built by uncovering the thread that's been there all along.

  • “Working with Jessica has helped to open new dimensions for my memoir manuscript...[S]he has really helped me to dig deep into the heart of my story, uncover my motivation for writing it, and reveal the gaps in my narrative, including ideas for best opening and closing scenes. For anyone working in memoir, I would not hesitate to recommend them to work with Jessica!”

    ~Wiley Wei- Chiun Ho,

Author of THE ASTRONAUT CHILDREN OF DUNBAR STREET: A MEMOIR (Douglas & McIntyre, March 2026)

  • “Jessica is a master at this process. Working with her helped to untangle the yarn in my head and pull the threads 🧵 into a methodical order that I can knit into a cohesive narrative. Thanks, Jessica! It was getting awfully woolly up in the ‘ole noggin.”

    ~Leslie Bradford-Scott,
Author of THE LIAR’S PLAYBOOK: A MEMOIR OF FAMILY AND CRIME (Simon & Schuster, Spring 2026)

  • “Jessica got me to dig deeper into my past in ways I never imagined and helped me find the belief in myself that I could do this. I wake up every morning excited to work on the next chapter and Jessica’s thoughtful feedback gets the wheels turning for ways in which I can improve the next draft. If you’re thinking about writing a memoir, you want someone like Jessica by your side. I swear my memoir would not exist without her.”

    ~JESSICA LEIBE

  • ”She’ll put you at ease even as she encourages you to take bigger, braver writing risks.”
